The North-Midi Junction ^walking

The underground railway line between Brussels-North and Brussels-Midi stations split the historic city centre in two while it was being built between 1902 and 1952. It led to the creation of over-sized boulevards lined with offices, as was the typical approach in the 1950s. Today, the debate has moved on to what to do about the junction: should attractive housing be built above it or should its route become the site of a new city park?
